Bob Bowman Book Signing - May 19, 2011

Historian and author Bob Bowman showed up at BKW to talk about some of his books, which include The Forgotten Towns of East Texas Vol. 1 and Historic Murders of East Texas.

Everyone had a great time learning about some of the lesser-known events that have taken place in our little corner of the world, and we really enjoyed having Bob and his wife, Doris, spend some time with us. Doris also co-authored some of the books with her husband.

If you're a history buff, you owe it to yourself to check out some of the interesting things Bob has written about.

We'd like to thank the Friends of the Library for putting this event together and providing the snacks, and we really appreciate Bob and Doris Bowman making time to visit with us.

Welcome to the BKW Library Blog

Welcome to the blog. You can find out more about the services offered by the Blanche K Werner Public Library by visiting the official website.

The blog will provide news and information about what's going on at the library, with updates on new books received, news about upcoming events, and new books that are being published. We'll also keep you up-to-date with some of the authors that will be doing book signings at various bookstores and libraries in Texas.

There's lots of great info coming up so stop back by soon. We'll see you at the library.
