Wat's New in Adult Fiction
Love Meg by C. Leigh Purtill
Fifteen-year-old Meg Shanley knows two things: first, her older sister Lucie is the only family she has. Second, Lucie will uproot her to a new town and a new school at least once a year. This time, it's Hollywood.
Alone and lonely in LA, Meg settles into a familiar routine. She scopes out New Friend candidates and determines the shortest distance between home, school and Starbucks.
Then Meg discovers a secret that turns her whole world upside down. She has a family she never knew about--an uncle and a grandmother--in Queens, New York.
Meg is convinced she can have the dream life she's always wanted. She defies Lucie and flies to Queens.
When she arrives--three thousand miles from everything she's ever known--she discovers that real love has always been just a letter away.
The Quest for Moby Piscavore by John V. Konior
A very entertaining and informative book about the sport of fishing. A series of short fish tales based on actual experiences. Unique, in that the book features many interesting and informative footnotes, and introduction to a fantastic adventure fiction novel scheduled for release in 2013 (assuming the world is still around), many pertinent illustrations, and special "Intermission" sections providing a wealth of information about becoming an accomplished angler.
The Ghost by Robert Harris
"The moment I heard how McAra died, I should have walked away. I can see that now. . . .”
The role of a ghostwriter is to make his client look good, not to uncover the truth. But what happens when the client is a major political figure, and the truth could change the course of history? Adam Lang, the controversial former prime minister of Britain, is writing his memoirs. But his first ghostwriter dies under shocking circumstances, and his replacement—whose experience lies in portraying aging rock stars and film idols—knows little about Lang’s inner circle. Flown to join Lang in a secure house on the remote shores of Martha’s Vineyard in the depths of winter, cut off from everyone and everything he knows, he comes to realize he should never have taken the job.
It’s not just his predecessor’s mysterious death that haunts him, but Adam Lang himself. Deep in Lang’s past are buried shocking secrets . . . secrets with the power to alter world politics . . . secrets with the power to kill.

Book Trailer: Eye of the Crow by Shane Peacock
Looking for an exciting mystery? We have just what your looking for.
The "Eye of the Crow", is the first book in The Boy Sherlock Holmes series by Shane Peacock.
Sherlock Holmes, just thirteen, is a misfit. His highborn mother is the daughter of an aristocratic family, his father a poor Jew. Their marriage flouts tradition and makes them social pariahs in the London of the 1860s; and their son, Sherlock, bears the burden of their rebellion. Friendless, bullied at school, he belongs nowhere and has only his wits to help him make his way.
But what wits they are! His keen powers of observation are already apparent, though he is still a boy. He loves to amuse himself by constructing histories from the smallest detail for everyone he meets. Partly for fun, he focuses his attention on a sensational murder to see if he can solve it. But his game turns deadly serious when he finds himself the accused — and in London, they hang boys of thirteen.
