Russell is able to get the money back from the thieves, but Favor's wife has been taken hostage and, robbed of their horses, the passengers are stranded. Russell is indifferent to the fate of Favor's wife, but the group cannot argue because he is the only one among them who knows the way home. Chased by the thieves for the money they still have, the group has to make a stand at an abandoned mine where they call on Russell to save Favor's wife.
