Staff Recommended -- Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Ransom Riggs debut novel Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is our recommended read for the week. Why?

Riggs tells this intriguing story through a blending of narrative and photographs that he found at swap meets. The photographs became a guide in the creation of the story and the most fascinating characters I've read in sometime. The by-product of being a collector of photographs and conversations with other collectors brought Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children to life in the most unforgettable way.

The second book in the captivating Miss Peregrine series has yet to receive a title but should be available in June of 2013.

I highly recommend Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children to readers of ALL AGES! Drop by the library and check out this amazing novel today.
